Lady and the Tramp Movie Night

Image
One of the most iconic scenes in a Disney movie has got to be the spaghettie pull scene in the movie, Lady and the Tramp. And for this movie night I put together a game to commemorate that scene. The Spaghetti Pull Game is a simple and exciting game that your kids will go crazy for! My kids loved helping to make the game. And they got so excited once they saw it all put together with the prizes. This game would also be perfect for Valentine's Day! I know that this is a game that we are going to add to our holiday game rotation, along with Bingo and Don't Eat Pete. This game was easy to put together and can be customized for any scenario. I only did six plates because it was just for my two older kids. You can add as many plates as you want. You can also decorate the plates how you want or just leave them blank. Customize for any holiday or party. Read below for step by step instructions to make the game. And to get ready for the movie you know that we had to have some spaghetti...

Frozen Movie Night

Image
"The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway!" During these cold winter months in Utah there is no other movie night more fitting than Frozen. My family has watched this movie more times than we can count, but we love it just as much every time that we turn it on. To change things up we also like to watch the Sing-Along version and get the whole family singing along to every song!  This movie night has an easy snow flake craft and some hot cocoa and s'mores. Now, you might be thinking, "Hot cocoa AND s'mores??" But hear me out, we started doing hot cocoa and s'mores awhile back after I got out the graham crackers to dip in my cocoa. My son saw the graham crackers and asked for a s'more. Well, we already had out the marshmallows too, so all I had to do was pop the graham cracker and marshmallow in the microwave for a few seconds and he was one happy kid. Now we are always making s'mores with our cocoa. The extra chocolate is good to add in your cocoa, the m...

Winnie the Pooh Movie Night

Image
Are you ready for another quick and easy movie night?? The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is one of the cutest rides at Disney. And the movie is just as cute! It's filled with friendship, adventure, and lots of honey of course! Below you will find food ideas, printable coloring pages, and a yummy recipe for Honeycomb Churro Crunch. For this movie night we made honey ham sandwiches, but you could alter this to use whatever you already have on hand and that you know your kids will like. Variations like biscuits and honey, peanut butter and honey sandwiches, or even just toast with butter and honey would be great! You could even add to the fun and let everyone use a honey stick to put their honey on in their own creative way. (My kids like to just eat the honey right out of the stick!)  To go with our honey ham sandwiches we had some veggies from Rabbits garden, honey sticks, and Honeycomb Churro Crunch. And to make things a little more special for the kids I usually like to add a...

DUMBO Movie Night

Image
Whether you have an upcoming Disney trip or just need a fun and simple activity for the family, this is it!  Dumbo is a classic film and an iconic ride at the Disney parks. The movie is shorter, at just a few minutes over an hour, but it has a couple parts that might be scary or inappropriate for younger viewers. Disney has moved Dumbo to adult profiles on their Disney+ streaming service because of sensitive content shown in the movie. A quick google search will give you more information on that and why Disney has moved it and other original films over to adult profiles. As a part of our movie nights I like to include a little lesson with my kids to talk more about what we see and sometimes we go into the history of the movie. These questions are on their learning level, which is 8 and under, but you can customize any part of this to fit your family’s needs.  Below you will find my easy steps on how to put together this simple movie night. Including a free printable for the e...
